Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL), a premier Joint Venture entity of the Government of India and the Government of Kerala, has officially announced its recruitment drive for the financial year 2026–27. The engagement will be strictly on a temporary apprenticeship training basis for a tenure of one year. Stipend Details & Monthly Allowances

Selected apprentices will receive a fixed consolidated monthly stipend along with additional allowance facilities as outlined under the Apprentices Act and NATS/NAPS direct benefit schemes:

• ITI Trade Apprentices: ₹9,600/- per month.
• Diploma Technician Apprentices: ₹10,900/- per month (includes Direct Benefit Transfer).
• Graduate Apprentices (Tech & Non-Tech): ₹12,300/- per month (includes Direct Benefit Transfer).
• Additional Allowance: An additional ₹1,200/- per month is provided to all candidates as a Food/Messing allowance.

Note: Under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), Govt. of India provides Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) components of ₹5,450/- for Diploma holders and ₹6,150/- for Graduates.

Eligibility Criteria: Educational & Age Limit

1. Age Criteria

Applicants must have completed a minimum of 18 years of age as of the date of notification. Standard age relaxation applies to reserved categories as per government policies.

2. Educational Qualifications

• Graduate Tech: Full-time Degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil, EEE, ECE, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or IT/Computer Science from a recognized university.
• Graduate Non-Tech: Full-time regular degree in BBA, B.Com, or BCA.
• Diploma Technician: Full-time 3-year Diploma in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Computer Science Engineering.
• Trade Apprentice (ITI): ITI Certificate (NCVT/SCVT approved) in Electrician, Electronics, Welder, Fitter, or Plumber trades.

Important Qualification Rule: Candidates holding qualifications obtained through part-time, correspondence, distance education, or online modes are strictly ineligible to apply.
